What Can I Do if My Toddler Wont Sleep

Getting a toddler to sleep can be a challenge. Some toddlers are particularly difficult to get to sleep, and other regularly awake at night, and the implementation of their beds full of energy. Fortunately, there are things you can do to help your child to sleep. They may include:

- Be consistent. When it is time for bed, put your child in bed. Make sure she has a drink, a story, or anything else, it might ask for once you turn the light. Once the light is not, unless there is an emergency, it needs to know that you are done for the day.

- Toddlers are full of energy and the need to have lots of outlets in some of this energy off. If your child spends most of the day watching television or sitting at a table color, it probably will not want to sleep at night. Make sure your child has enough activity during the day.

- A comfortable and quiet sleep environment is another key element. If your house tends to be strong, try to put on soft music for your toddler at bedtime. Make sure she received her favorite stuffed animal or blanket. You should also try to avoid toys in the bed with her.

- Quality of life and ritual consistent could also go a long way to help toddlers who are not sleeping. Including activities such as brushing teeth, read a book and a snack bedtime, it will become accustomed to the pattern of getting into bed and go to sleep when it's time. A routine will greatly contribute to your toddler from the emotional and physical health as well as help to sleep.

- If possible, you should try to avoid too much excitement at bedtime. The period between dinner and bedtime should be generally relaxed, and to help your child to slow down for the day.

- Watch out for naps. Some toddlers are ready to forgo a nap in the afternoon at the age of 2, while May others take much longer before they are ready to give up. If your child is asleep for several hours in the middle of the day, it is not surprising not sleep at night.

- If your child has regular problems going to sleep and you've tried everything else, it is possible that he May have a sleep disorder whatsoever. Consider talking to your health care provider about the problem to see if there are treatments available that could help
