Wood & Wood Products, April, 2005 E-mail Print Link WASHINGTON - Graco Children's Products Inc. of Exton, PA, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of about 1.2 million child beds at 22 March. Shortly thereafter, the CPSC announced an interim solution for the largest civil penalty in the Organization of the story.
According to the CPSC, Graco received 77 from reports on specific incidents on the toddler bed. Entrapment, in which a child of the arm, leg or foot was caught between the slats in the guard rails or foot board resulted in 13 broken arms and legs, a broken foot, a sprained ankle and 54 other injuries, including bruised, scratched and swollen limbs.
The CPSC said Graco's failure to report the child beds is one of the injuries, which are among the 4 million U.S. dollars punishment.
