Sleep for 1 or 2 years Old Toddler

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

As your baby grows and becomes a toddler, it'll start to need less sleep during the day but around 11 hours or so at night. You will be the transition to fewer naps and even a cranky tired baby can have difficulty sleeping.
If your son to go to bed only when you are around, it,s forming the bad habit that is difficult to break later. The best lesson that can teach you is how to relieve him to sleep. Follow a nightly ritual before bed (bath, books and bed, for example) so you know what is expected of them and what to expect during the night. You can tell that if he stays in bed you back in five minutes to check on him. Let him know it's safe and close to it.
Children are great negotiators, and are not different at bedtime. And because in order to enjoy the time they spend with you, they do what they can prolong the time they have with you. Your child can take his time doing his usual routine of the night, repeatedly asking for a glass of water, or keep asking you to come to her room because she needs something. If you suspect that the installation, do not let him. Tell him it's time for bed and may end up working in his art project the next day or find the stuffed bunny on the following morning. Making the night more than routine "business" is when you kiss your baby and tuck him in. Do not wait around for your baby to fuss. Just go out and shut the door and wait about ten minutes before returning into the room.
Sometimes it's just a battle for control. Your child wants to control their environment as much as possible. You can not force him to sleep. Try reverse psychology and say that he did not go to sleep, but can play in your crib. Finally, he falls asleep on their own.
