When you first move your child out of a small cot to a large bed, but it may very small and once the word may suddenly seem a long way down. Always consider their safety when choosing a new bed, since most children will roll out of bed at least once during their adaptation to the new agreement sleep disorders.
To avoid the possibility of your child hurt themselves by leaving the bed, you have the following options:
- Put a mattress on the floor for your child to sleep on. Once you are confident that they will not roll out of bed, you can prior to the floor.
- Push the bed in a corner, so both sides of the bed where your child can not roll-out.
- Use a guard rail along the sides of the bed. Select a track, which is lowered and raised so your child can safely into and out of bed.
- Insert a large mattress or pillow on the floor under the bed, so that if they do not roll-out, it will not hurt in the process.
- Move furniture, such as bedside tables and lamps, away from the bed, so that if they do not roll-out, it will not damage himself - or anything else! - On the way down.
Remember!
Bunk beds are not safe for infants or pre-school, even if you plan to sleep in the lower berth. No child can resist the temptation, with a number of berths as fitness equipment and most of bunk bed accidents occur during playback. As a rule of thumb, wait until the youngest child is about 9 years old before they bunk beds.
Once she is hiding in bed:
Make sure her room and the house are safe at night - children who sleep in a bed in a position to get out of bed whenever they want, so you may be surprised to find their tours around around the house only if you believe that she is asleep.
Consider a night light in her room or in the area outside their rooms, they can leave her room, sure.
If you routinely close their bedroom door at night, do not be tempted to lock it to ensure their safe. Most children - and adults - find it very sad to find themselves locked in a room. There is also a problem of security in the event of a fire.
Be ready for some broken sleep. Even the best sleepers in the world can very quickly develop the habit even for adults in the night and slipping out of bed to visit. When they hop right in your bed and you can all continue to ensure a good nights sleep then their visits are not a problem.
