Getting your baby to sleep
Who coined the phrase "sleeping like a baby" may not be a parent. Since all the exhausted parents will tell you, babies tend to sleep sporadic at best. One night, your baby sleep in May, all the way through, but the next May, you have until three or four times. After several months, most babies do in a predictable sleep pattern, and there are a number of things that parents can do to help their babies on the idea that the night is for sleeping.
Getting Ready for bed
One of the best ways to get your baby to sleep well at night is to establish a regular evening routine. Allow enough time every night to your baby a warm bath, then in to cuddle and read a story. The last of the evening feeding should be in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, so that your baby is able to relax and be ready for sleep. While many parents enjoy rocking chair their babies to sleep, knowing that if you do this on a consistent basis, your baby will come to rocking chair as part of its going-to-sleep routine and May have difficulties, which fall asleep without rocked.
A sleeping environment
It is important to create an environment for your baby to the bedroom. Dress your baby in soft, comfortable pajamas, and keep the nursery at a comfortable temperature. While many experts recommend that babies sleep in parents' room for the first six months, the practice of co-sleeping is mixed reviews. If you choose to put your baby in your bed to sleep, exercise caution and keep a few guidelines in mind. Babies should never sleep in bed with a parent who is ill or has been smoking, drinking or taking drugs. Even space baby away from the edge of the bed to reduce the risk of babies falling out. Finally, be sure that the child is not in foul or covered by blankets or pillows.
Causes for sleepless nights
