The bedtime should be the most relaxing time of day with the children. Find peace by developing a routine.
The bedtime is difficult in many families. But it may become easier with a routine. Develop a ritual, keep it simple and practical, every night. When children know what to expect at bedtime, they go to bed without a fight.

Offer a snack
The first part of the bedtime routine should be a snack. This serves two purposes. First, it gets rid of any hunger that have developed in the time since the dinner hour. If you start the ritual eating, then you know that your child is not really hungry when he asked for just a snack after more he is already back in bed.

Sound the Alarm bed
It's time to use your time if your child has difficulty moving at bedtime. Give a ten or fifteen minute warning that the ritual will begin. Set the timer and when it will begin routine.

Secondly, if the taste is a food or drink that is soothing, it will help relax the child. Warm milk and chamomile tea are both relaxing drink. Serve with a couple of cookies or crackers. Do not feed your children foods that have caffeine or artificial colors and color. One of these things could cause hyperactivity and keep your child to sleep.

Read a Bedtime Story
The Bedtime Story should be a part of each ritual. Not only is it relaxing, but it is high time connecting the parent and child. Many children fall asleep while reading. If they do not, they are generally fairly relaxed they fall asleep shortly after.

Pajamas and brushing teeth
Gradually bedtime keeping cleaning routine simple. A quick wipe with a washcloth on the face and hands, brushing teeth and changing some comfortable pajamas are all that is necessary. However, do not force anything. If your child refuses to turn into pajamas, let it go. Bedtime is not the time to engage in a struggle for power. Pajamas are not that important.

Glass of water
It is traditional that the child will suddenly become thirsty at bedtime. Keep a glass or Sippy cup of water beside the bed. This prevents the glass of water to become a bedtime stalling tactic.

Tuck the last
Before leaving the room, give your child a final Tuck bed. Pull the mattress and dispose as he wants. Give him a kiss and tell him you love before you say good night.

Simple, consistent bedtime routines need not be long. The snack bedtime, history and the final time Tuck may take only twenty minutes together. On some nights, May you want to spend more time reading or snacks. Other nights, May you have less time to devote to his ritual. The important thing is that it is compatible and gives your child a point to end the day.
